Stone Crow is a powerhouse group of experienced musicians bringing the best of modern hard rock to audiences throughout Wisconsin.
Starting with drums at age 5, Mike added a few more instruments until taking guitar more seriously at age 12. Heavy influences include early Metallica, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Mark Tremonti, and a huge love for John Petrucci’s work with Dream Theater. Originally from California, Mike had played in a high school hard rock band called DESOLIT. After high school ended, he played in the metal band SPLIT PERSONNEL. After moving to Wisconsin, bands included ASSAULT BY AUDIO and a brief stint in THE CASKET ROBBERY. Now, he is the chief songwriter and guitarist for his metal band, AMILLENNIAL. One particular accomplishment with Amillennial is winning 1st place at the 2017 FDL County Battle of the Bands, with no rehearsal/practice leading up to the show. After joining Stone Crow in July 2020, his goals remain the same: Write great music, and have a great time playing shows.
In his hometown of Prairie du Chien, Jesse started playing guitar at age 13, and joined his first band at 15. After moving east to Fond du Lac at age 20, he played guitar in many local bands, including BELCH, ABSTRACT JACK, SYMPTOM OF BEING, AMILLENNIAL, and current local metal band XENOBLOOD. Jesse joined Stone Crow in January of 2020, with goals of writing great original music and having a blast playing favorite songs for fans.
Mike got started singing in bands at age 24, after a youth filled with love for heavy music. His influences include MTV, 80’s black and death metal, Black Sabbath, and Thursday. He’s been in several projects over the years, including SKIF, MAST, VARIOUS ARTISTS, LESS THAN POPULAR, AMILLENNIAL, SUFFER IN BLACK, BLACK FROST, AMILLENNIAL, COURT OF BEASTS, XENOBLOOD, and ORDER OF UNUKALHAI. After founding Stone Crow in 2014, the goal has been a perfect blend of original music and covers that satisfies the audience and the band.
Some personal accomplishments include several band battle wins with Stone Crow and Amillennial, and a WAMI nomination for Stone Crow.
At 5 years old, Todd instantly gained points by becoming the first kid on the block with MTV. This would create an obsession with music, and soon Todd was teaching himself on his first drum kit from Sears, as well as piano. The obsession would grow with influence from artists like Rush, Genesis, and other progressive/synth based music.
Todd has been a member of many popular Wisconsin bands, including WANDERING AIMLESSLY, FBNC, SCOTTY MEYER AND THE REMEDY, BOXKAR, HINDSIGHT, ROOFTOP JUMPERS, ONE HOT MESS, FACE FOR RADIO, and THE KIP JONES BAND. He has been nominated twice for WAMI Drummer of the Year, and has been nominated for WAMI Best New Artist of the Year and Best Album of the Year while a member of HINDSIGHT. After joining Stone Crow in January 2021, his goal is to have “the world hearing our new music”.
Getting started in music at age 4, Bear’s influences have been Geezer Butler, Cliff Burton, Geddy Lee, and Steve Harris. He’s been in many bands, including REIGN, RIPPER, UNCLE WHISKEY BREATH, WASTED FAITH, SCOTTY MEYER AND THE REMEDY, and ROCK BOTTOM. After winning several Battle of the Band competitions over the years, as well as several WAMI nominations, Bear hopes to achieve the award with a new Stone Crow album, while continuing to maintain a great balance of new original music and covers that fans love.
Bear started Stone Crow in the fall of 2014, and says the band “makes me want to be the best version of myself, and when you surround yourself with awesome talent, it makes you push yourself. It reminds me of why I fell in love with music in the first place. Each version of the band builds upon the last, and I have been blessed to play with some of the best in the industry.”
